Uncollected Machines Policy
When machines are in for servicing or repair, customers are responsible for collecting them once the work has been completed or deemed uneconomical to repair (unless a prior arrangement has been made with us.)
Customers will be contacted via phone and/or email when their machine is ready for collection.
Unless a prior arrangement has been made, all machines must be collected within 30 days of notification. Machines not collected within the agreed timeframe will be subject to a storage charge.
Storage Charges
If machines are not collected within the agreed timeframe and no prior arrangement has been made, storage charges will apply from day 31 onward as follows:
Hand-held machines (e.g streamers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws etc): £1 per day
Pedestrian machines (e.g walk-behind lawn mowers): £2 per day
Larger Machines (e.g Lawn tractors quad bikes etc): £5 per day
Storage charges will continue to accrue until the machine is collected or otherwise disposed of in line with this policy.
Long-term Uncollected Machines
If a machine remains uncollected after 6 months from the date of notification and no contact has been made by the customer, the machine will be disposed of.
Machines Deemed Uneconomical to Repair
If a machine is found uneconomical to repair, the customer will be notified before any further action is taken. The machine must still be collected within the stated timeframes (unless prior arrangements have been made). Disposal can be arranged upon request and may incur a fee. Please Note that charges may still apply for any diagnostic and workshop time spent assessing the machine and for any parts already fitted or used during testing.
Parts Availability and Repair Delays
Repair completion time are estimates only and are dependant on the availability of replacement parts and, supply lead times, and manufacturer support. Where parts are on back-order, discontinued or subject to additional delivery times, we will always contact the customer to make them aware of this, we may also offer alternative repair options if available.
Acceptance of policy
By leaving a machine for servicing or repair, customers acknowledge and agree to this uncollected machines policy, including the applicable storage charges.
Environmental fees
An environmental fee will be added to each invoice, where applicable, to cover the cost of the safe and lawful disposal of waste oil and/or stale fuel generated during servicing or repair. This fee reflects the costs involved in the collection, handling, and disposal of regulated waste materials. This fee will be clearly shown of customer invoices.
Orders
Items that are pre-ordered, special ordered, or ordered specifically at a customers request are non-refundable. A deposit or full payment may be required at the time of placing the order. Once an order has been placed with out supplier, it cannot be cancelled or refunded, unless the item is fault or we are unable to supply it.
Ownership of Goods
All new machines will remain on the property of the business until paid for in full. We reserve the right to retain possession of goods or machines until all outstanding balances have been settled.
Payment Terms
Payment is due in full on completion of work or upon collecting goods, unless otherwise agreed.
Quotes and Estimates
Estimates for repairs are approximate and may change if additional faults are discovered.
